Andata e ritorno: il turismo delle radici
Si calcola che nell’arco di un secolo e mezzo, tra la metà del XIX e la fine del XX, siano stati oltre venti milioni gli italiani partiti per cercar fortuna all'estero, verso terre vicine (Svizzera, Francia, Germania), lontane (le Americhe) o lontanissime (Australia). Molti si sono fermati nei paesi d'adozione e oggi sono i loro discendenti a compiere il percorso inverso, anche solo temporaneamente, per riscoprire le proprie origini: è il “turismo delle radici”, un fenomeno la cui crescente portata economica si accompagna al recupero del rapporto con la Nazione d’origine.
