con Francesco Verde // Università La Sapienza di RomaAnche se Aristotele, nel libro I della Politica, non lo menziona esplicitamente, Senofonte aveva scritto il dialogo Economico con Socrate come protagonista, in cui affermava che il fine dell’economia domestica è accrescere sempre di più i profitti. Aristotele sembra reagire a questa posizione, sottolineando che la natura ha limiti ben precisi e che la crematistica, ossia l’arte del guadagno, deve essere a sua volta necessariamente contenuta. Si tratta di due modelli economici profondamente diversi, la cui analisi appare oggi più che mai attuale.
