In tempi di populismi cresce il pericolo di una involuzione autoritaria. Per arrestarlo occorre una robusta coscienza democratica. Ma che cosa vuol dire? E attraverso quali letture si forma un’identità civile capace di fronteggiare le tempeste del presente? Dove sono finite la militanza politica e le ideologie che hanno segnato le vite degli italiani del secondo Novecento? La curatrice de La biblioteca di Raskolnikov e l’autore di Certe sere Pablo hanno cercato di rispondere a queste domande, la prima attraverso i contributi di intellettuali di diverso orientamento, il secondo con tre racconti di impegno politico scritti per chi allora non c’era e vorrebbe sapere, per chi testardamente non ricorda e per chi, invece, proprio non riesce a dimenticare.
