Maria risponde mostrando tutta la sua umanità, tutto il suo dolore per la perdita del figlio che la rende simile ad ogni genitore.È un interrogatorio su vita, morte, fede e dolore.È la storia di una donna, Maria di Nazareth, e di tutte le donne.Con chi interloquisce Maria? Da chi viene interrogata? Da una o più persone? Dall’umanità intera? Chi vuole parlare con Maria? Chi vuole ascoltare le sue parole?Testori ha fatto i conti con il suo linguaggio ed ha trovato una misura inattesa che ha finito per rivelare quale forza possedessero sia la sua capacità inventiva che l’innata rappresentatività della sua parola.
