Per molto tempo l’HIV è stato considerato un nemico invincibile. Oggi non solo esistono farmaci che offrono alle persone sieropositive la possibilità di una vita normale, ma grazie alla ricerca – anche italiana - questo virus è stato trasformato in un farmaco di precisione. La cura inaspettata (2023) ricostruisce quarant’anni di ricerca sull’HIV dal punto di vista speciale di un padre e di un figlio: Fernando Aiuti, uno dei primi in Italia a occuparsi di AIDS tanto dal punto di vista medico e scientifico quanto nella lotta allo stigma, e suo figlio Alessandro, ricercatore di frontiera nel campo della terapia genica.
Nicolò Morina ha un dottorato in Medicina sperimentale e molecolare. Aspirante comunicatore scientifico. Ama musica, disegno ed escursioni montanare.
Annamaria Zaccheddu, biotecnologa, ha conseguito il Master in Comunicazione della Scienza “Franco Prattico” alla SISSA di Trieste e lavora nell’area comunicazione della Fondazione Telethon.
