Using the ultra aesthetic, and language, that came from the Italian curva of the 1960s, and finessed during the 70s, 80s and 90s, ultra culture has become a global phenomenon that has spread to every corner of the globe. James Montague, who visited over 25 countries whilst researching for his book Fra gli ultras, will take us in a visual journey with photos and videos, inviting the audience to imagine stepping into curvas – from Jakarta to LA – and into a world that has jealously guarded its anonymity even as it changes the world around it.
