Torquato Tasso E Gli Editori: Storia Di Un Conflitto
Vero e proprio fenomeno editoriale dell'epoca, Torquato Tasso ha goduto, anche suo malgrado, di un'enorme fortuna a stampa: a partire dagli anni Ottanta del Cinquecento, mentre il poeta era recluso nell'ospedale di Sant'Anna con l'accusa di pazzia, fioccano edizioni pirata delle sue opere, licenziate con tutta fretta da alcuni dei più rilevanti tipografi del tempo, intenzionati a mettere sul mercato il maggior numero possibile di inediti e ristampe tassiane. Dalla Gerusalemme liberata alle Rime amorose, ognuno dei capolavori di Tasso va incontro a una travagliata storia editoriale, spesso motivo di acerbe tensioni tra l'autore e gli editori. In un'epoca senza copyright, come si potevano proteggere i propri scritti? E perché Tasso era così riluttante a vederli pubblicati? Provano a rispondere Emilio Russo e Martina Dal Cengio.
