Sejla Jusufovic
Sejla Jusufovic works as an Assistant Research Officer at the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media (RFoM). In her current role, she advises the RFoM on media freedom issues in South East Europe and Turkey, and has a thematic focus on safety of journalists. She has over ten years of professional experience working in multilateral settings including the UN and the OSCE and the NGO sector, covering human rights, including media freedom, refugee and migration issues, and security policies.
Sejla holds an Interdisciplinary Master’s degree in East European Research and Studies from the University of Bologna and a Bachelor’s degree (high honours) in International Relations from the Eastern Mediterranean University. Prior to joining the RFoM Office, Sejla worked for over four years with UNHCR Turkey operation, where she co-led the inter-agency refugee response efforts.
