Fergal Keane: le cicatrici del reportage di guerra

Descrizione

When your daily job is reporting the suffering of others, what’s the price you pay yourself? Why are so many journalists drawn to conflict despite the clear impact on their own lives? What are the uncomfortable truths about the relationship between the war reporter and the individuals they cover?
Few have considered these questions as deeply as Fergal Keane, who is one of the BBC's most distinguished correspondents. Fergal has reported from Northern Ireland, Africa, Asia, the Middle East and the Balkans for more than 30 years and most recently has been drawn back to reporting on the wars in Ukraine and Gaza. His latest book is The Madness – a memoir of war, fear and PTSD, an honest look at what draws him to reporting conflict, what keeps him there and a reckoning of the damage done.
Fergal Keane will be in conversation with Richard Colebourn.
