Fitih Alemu Feleke
Fitih Alemu Feleke is a lecturer of Journalism and Communication in Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia. With a B.A. and M.A degree in Journalism and a number of short trainings, she possesses more than a decade of experience in journalism teaching and research in Jimma and Bahir Dar Universities. Fitih’s experience also entails curriculum development, communication, PR work, training and research in CSOs and Higher Education Institutions.
Fitih has also been recently assigned Director of Ethiopian Journalism Educators’ Network (EJEN) of which she is a co-founder. She is now actively working on capacity development and horizontal connection among journalism educators of Ethiopia through EJEN. Fitih has special academic interest in the gender aspect of journalism education, thereby journalism as an essential agent of social dynamics in African societies.
