Bio

Noa Landau is the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Haaretz, Israel’s oldest daily, and a member of the newspaper’s editorial board. Since joining Haaretz at 2009 she served as a reporter, commentator and senior editor. She was the first woman to head the paper’s news department and later served as the editor of Haaretz English edition. Landau is also the founder of Haaretz21, an organizational project aimed at amplifying underrepresented voices and stories of Arabs/Palestinians in Israel. Before joining Haaretz, Landau worked as a journalist for Galei Tzahal radio, Channel 10 TV and Maariv. Overall, she has been a journalist for more than 20 years. Landau studied Political Science at the university of Tel Aviv. She is also an Advisory Board member and alum of the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at the University of Oxford. In 2017, Landau was chosen one of 50 most influential women in Israel by local Forbes magazine.
